Juf Karin and gym-Piet set up a wonderful Pietengym. All children practiced being springpieten, balans-pieten, pakjes-pieten, rode zak-pieten, klim-pieten and even puppet theatre-pieten. It was great fun on a rainy day!
All worked at their level. The artwork with ‘stromingsbeelden’ was the basis for writing Sinterklaas words or Sinterklaas poems today. Beautiful outcome students!
Group 6/7 is getting ready for Sint’s arrival on Friday 4 December. The most artistic shoes have been made, let’s wait and see when the Pieten have time to fill them 🙂 Wel done class, with the help of different teachers like Miss Boyd and juf Trudy!
After listening to the Sinterklaas story, the students got 10 sentences in Dutch. Some translated these sentences, others added adjectives. The sentences then had to be put into the right order to finally be written nicely in a story-spiral. Well done all!
All classes started these weeks of Sinterklaas towards 5 December with an introduction through the book ‘Sinterklaas” by Charlotte Dematons.
